The Lessons We Choose
Why do we choose certain lessons when we come to earth?
Life as a human can be quite challenging and we can experience so much pain throughout our lives, but we also get to experience so much love and beauty and joy too.
We wouldn’t know what hard times were if we didn’t also experience magical times. Life is a mix of lots of ebbs and flows, we are in a constant state of change.
It’s beautiful, it’s messy, it’s pure bliss and deep sadness. To feel is to be alive, to experience the vast ray of emotions is important to our soul’s evolution.
When we are experiencing something that we perceive to be difficult, can you in the moment switch the experience from why me and decide to view it as a lesson.
What is the lesson in this, what can I take away, how can I grow?
Maybe it’s too hard at the time of the event, and you need some space between it to see the lesson that will come from it. It is important to feel whatever emotions come up, if something painful happened feel and express that sadness. Holding it in will only cause more pain, suppressing of my emotions was how I used to deal with pain, and I learned that lessons too many times over to continue that way.
The trick is though, not staying in that pain. Feeling it all, and then letting it go and moving through it.
The best example of this is a child, we have all seen a child go from being happy to getting upset, throwing a tantrum (feeling the anger/pain in the moment), and then once they move through it, they go back to being happy again. It happens so quickly with children because they don't hold back from their emotions, they feel each and everything deeply. Feeling all the emotions is something adults tend to shut down, I’m giving you permission to feel today. Feel it all, let go, and don't hold back.
You got this, this lesson was made for you by you to ultimately grow to your highest potential.
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional
